Subject Leader Networks and Secondary Leadership Training
Primary Subject Leader Networks provide a strong and supportive learning community for primary teachers with a focus on best and next practice locally and nationally. They meet termly or more frequently if required.
School improvement, teacher development and pupil outcomes are the focus of the groups with activities being tailored to meet the specific needs of the participants. Led by SLEs from across our Teaching School, this is a great opportunity to reflect on excellence in practice and continue to grow as leaders of learning in our settings.
In 2019-2020, our Foundation Subjects Networks (History, Geography and Art) were led by Secondary Specialists so that all leads grow and develop in their subject knowledge and subject specific pedagogy.
New to 2020 – 2021: To further develop our offer in 2020-2021, we are now offering a new addition – Outdoor Learning.
Secondary Subject Leader Programme
New for 2020 – 2021, our Secondary Subject Leader Training Programme provides essential training for subject leaders to keep up to date with current thinking about the development of their subject and to network, discuss central themes and share good practice. The aim of the programme is to support subject leaders who are new to post or within their first couple of years of subject leadership. Led by SLEs from across our Teaching School, this is a great opportunity to develop key skills and knowledge on effective subject leadership.
